It’s known for its traditional Himachali wooden architecture and intricate carvings. You can reach it either by a short drive or a scenic 2–5 hour hike through pine forests.
• Explore hidden waterfalls: Shoghi is sprinkled with small, lesser-known waterfalls, perfect for a quiet picnic, a splash session, or just cooling off after a hike.
• Go on nature hikes: If you love walking through forests, Shoghi Himachal is your playground. The area is full of easy-to-moderate trails winding through lush forests, making hiking one of the best things to do here.
• Try birdwatching: The hills around Shoghi Himachal are home to a rich variety of birds. It’s a fantastic spot for birdwatching beginners and enthusiasts, especially during early mornings.
• Board the Kalka-Shimla Toy Train: A highlight among the Shimla tourist places, the UNESCO-listed Kalka–Shimla Toy Train passes right through Shoghi. You can board it from Shoghi Station and enjoy a nostalgic ride either towards Shimla or all the way down to Kalka.
