About Kibber
Located deep in the highlands of Spiti Valley, Kibber is a Himalayan town with population in a meagre hundreds. When you are approaching this village, you cannot help but be fascinated by its location ā a cluster of the classic Spitian mudhouses and a backdrop of snow-clad mountains and nothing else till your eyes can see. Kibber is a travelersā muse for its monastery, curious location, and most importantly, for the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary. Come winter, you can spot snow leopards in this village, of course, after much (and well-deserving) efforts.
Kibber is 20 km from Spitiās capital of Kaza. During the summer months, the two are connected with a local bus service and many tourist vehicles.
